My approach

Frameworks:

I rely heavily on somatic attachment (family systems & collective) modalities such as AEDP, trauma frameworks, cultural relational, and holding the therapeutic relationship at the crux of our work. At times I may also weave in art, movement, song, and sensory bins.

The frameworks I pull from most frequently are:

  • AEDP(focusing on the present moment relationally)

  • Psychodynamic (being curious how the past has shaped the present)

  • Trauma informed (safety, collaboration, agency, choice)

  • Anti-oppressive (looking at how systems impact humans on a political and personal level)

  • Relational-cultural (having a person to hold the confusing stuff with you, and working towards healthier relationships through the therapist-client relationship)

  • Attachment (how our experiences of our caregivers impact the ways we relate to others)

  • Parts and trauma work (grappling with all the parts of you, while focusing on your nervous system)

  • Harm reduction (meeting you where you are at in your journey)

  • Art / movement / self expression (dancing, singing, grounding activities, painting, drawing, etc)
